I know what sealioning is. Unfortunately that term is so overused now as a way to dismiss any potential for conversation. Anyone can make a sincere comment and all you have to do is call it 'sealioning' and you "win." Intead of playing a 'gotcha' I'll respond to your points:
Class consciousness is absolutely a key part of this, and to ignore it is dishonest. We very much used to take into account socioeconomic status, especially at the height of Occupy. That wasn't that long ago. But governments quashed that because that was a real threat. They don't want us to realize it's the 1% vs the 99%, they want to keep us divided, and they now happily do so by supporting identity politics, because at the end of the day: it keeps the rest of us divided and at each other's throats.
