We've tried that over and over and over again. No wonder why people are desperate and seeking alternative ways to mobilize and take action. I'm personally not bothered by these incidents. I'm more bothered by our collective inaction.

Often the people criticizing these protesters haven't actually engaged in civil disobedience themselves. It's an uphill battle. It's thankless, frustrating work. I'd like to see more people taking action instead of spewing more outrage into the ether. To be clear, I'm not saying this is you, but all I see is talk, talk, talk, including from world leaders. We're so beyond talking at this point.
